What are tooth gems?
Tooth gems are semi-permanent fixtures that are professionally bonded to your teeth. Here at The Smile Shop, we use only premium quality Swarovski crystals, 24K gold, opal and/or Moissanite. All of our gems are lead-free and contain no contaminates harmful to your health. All of our products have been sourced from reputable re-sellers, which is why we guarantee their quality for 30 days.
Professional Application
Don't trust your teeth to just anyone. As a licensed dental hygienist, with over 8 years' experience, I have selected the best dental-grade products for your visit.
Each tooth is etched with a gel containing phosphoric acid. This creates a roughened area where bonding agents can be applied.
Next, a bonding agent will be applied and light cured onto the tooth allowing for professional adhesion.
Finally, your gem will be applied with a flexible nano-hybrid composite material. We have selected this material specifically for it's quality and benefits. While providing the adhesion needed to keep your gem in place, it also releases fluoride over time to protect tooth enamel.
